Two ways to start a poll

Set the topic and voting settings on the homepage, then choose a route based on whether your options are ready.

Enter what you want to decide and add any requirements in the notes. To supply your own options, enter one per line on the homepage.

When the options are ready

Start voting now

Select “Start voting with these options” to open voting without a collection phase.

Share the participation URL and invite votes
Share the participation URL on the confirmation screen. Participants open the page, select from the options, and vote.

When you also want participants’ suggestions

Collect options from everyone

Select “Collect options from everyone”. You can leave the options blank. Any options you enter are saved as initial options.

Everyone adds options on the same participation page. Voting is not available at this stage.

Start voting on the management page and invite votes
When the options are ready, the creator organizes them on the management page and starts voting. Participants vote using the same URL used to collect options.

Review the results and decide together

Results are available after voting. The creator can check progress on the management page and share the results URL.

The creator switches the poll from collecting options to voting

Voting does not start automatically when options are added. When the options are ready, the creator selects “Start voting” on the management page.

No one can vote until voting starts. After it starts, options cannot be added, edited, or deleted.

Collecting options and voting use the same participation URL. There is no need to change it.

This page is for the creator. Add and organize options, start voting after collecting ideas, share the poll, and check progress. Send participants the participation URL.

Save the management URL for yourself. On the same device and browser used to create the poll, you can also return via “Polls recently created in this browser” on the homepage.

Choose voting settings on the homepage

Choose whether each person can select one or multiple options. You can also choose anonymous voting or named voting, where the creator can see names and selections.

If you start by collecting options, you can change the settings on the management page before voting starts.
